Jedi Creation
[ Jedi ]
This page describes the rules and requirements for new Jedi. If you want to improve an existing character, have a look at Jedi Experience.
Race
Jedi can come from any intelligent race. This race gives some bonuses to the Jedi. Racial bonusses for the Jedi are directly related to the Racial Characteristics of the chosen race. Racial Characteristics are able to transcend the limitations of character creation.
When selecting the race for your Jedi, however, you should probably pick one of the races in your system. To pick such a race, your system should house at least 1.0
of that race. You do not have to choose such a race and may pick a different race, but if you pick one of which you do not have at least 1.0
, they will start one force level lower (see below).
If you do not have a system, but merely wish to play a Jedi, no limitation for race applies to you - you can pick any race and cherry pick the best abilities. 1).
Force level
New characters start at any Force level of their choice up to and including 4. Their associated Jedi Ranking is thus 'Force Sensitive' if they choose a Force Level of 0, 'Jedi Initiate' if they choose a Force Level of 1, 2 or 3 or Jedi Padawan if they choose the maximum force level of 4.
If you choose a Jedi of a race that is not present in your system, they start at a force level one lower than normal. So, you can start a Jedi Padawan with a force level of your choice up to and including 3. You can take the Foreign Jedi special to negate this penalty.
In both cases, the Force Sensitive racial characteristic increases the maximum starting force level by one.

Attributes
New characters gain a base score of 3 in each attribute 2), their choice. Additionally, each character may distribute an additional 4 points as they see fit, however, no score may be higher than 5 (so you could not have one score at 7 and all others at 3). You may voluntarily lower a score below 3, however this will not increase your scores in another attribute.
